Vickery Meadow Public Improvement District (VMPID) was established in 1993 and was renewed in 1998, 2003, 2008, and 2016. The Vickery Meadow area consists of approximately approximately 110 businesses, 11,929 multi-family units and 5 DISD schools. Vickery Meadow Management Corporation manages the PID. The general nature of the service and improvements provided by the PID are to provide public safety, graffiti control, landscaping, park improvements, trash pick-up, neighborhood improvements, acquisition, construction, operation and maintenance of mass transportation facilities, marketing and promotional activities, distinctive lighting and signage, business development and recruitment and other services and activities approved by the Dallas City Council.
The current PID term runs until December 31, 2022 with annual budget and assessment rate subject to a public hearing and City Council approval.
The assessment amount for 2019 is proposed to be $921,832.61. This amount is approximately equal to $0.10 per $100.00 of appraised value for the premium service area in the District and $0.05 per $100.00 of appraised value for the standard service area. Once levied, this assessment apportionment shall not increase during the 2019 service plan.
